Hogwarts School of Wizardry is ready to open it's doors for this academical year. The students have got their school books list for the academic year, many are surprised with the addition of two new electives, Alchemy and Magical Items & Devices. Prefects, Quidditch Captains and heads have been decided and badges are sent trhough mail.
Diagon Alley is filled with students and parents alike and Gringotts is seeing a huge number of people walking in. Many of the shops have hired a few extra hands to help out in the rush hour.

Born in Bayeux, France, Axel moved to Brighton with his family at a very young age. This young man is fluent in both English and French, and has retained his French accent for the most part. Being a Ravenclaw, he can be rather nerdy, but he is also a fierce fighter when it comes to protecting those and things he holds dear to him. For the most part, he is quite a nice person, but it would be rare to find him socialising with anyone younger than fifth year, he does not want to find himself being their personal mentor through school life; it is their journey, not his journey to be relived. Poor Axel hasn't yet found the courage to come out of the closet, all he needs is one good reason to, but for now, he is happy to continue pretending he liked the females. Perhaps some young lad could come along and sweep him off his feet, or maybe it will all come out on it's own.
Harry might never have even noticed him during his first five years of school life and only after the war is he trying to talk to people a bit more and get to know them. Since Axel is from a different country, I think Harry would be intrigued as well as ashamed that he had noticed the raven before. He would try and talk to him at times.
Hestia W. Carrow is someone whom Axel might've encountered while at the library. The Slytherin spends most of her time in the place reading books and she is whom you would call a typical Ravenclaw student. I think they might get along well enough.
I would imagine that they would definitely talk, but I wouldn't imagine, judging from my headcanon of Axel and what I know of Harry, that they would end up being really good friends. I would like to see how it would pan out, but this year, since after the war, Axel now has a no nonsense attitude towards everyone and everything, and in a way is looking out for number one. Of course he would be polite and entertain conversation, but it would mainly be small talk, unless it was about studies, but of course, Harry would have Hermione for that, unless there was something that completely stumped her. Perhaps when Beauxbatons were around Harry had contemplated asking Axel for his French language skills but never got the courage, or actually did ask him and received Axel's snappy tongue about using him. I don't know, just throwing ideas out there
YES! Especially where Hestia is intelligent, Axel would have a lot of time for her. Perhaps they make one of those unlikely friendships that somehow forge. Perhaps Axel and her have known each other for a few years, and he holds it against her slightly that she fled before the war instead of staying to fight, but knows deep down she had her reasons and it wasn't for everyone. I could imagine at some point, Axel would have needed the same book as her and they would have joked around about it or potentially come to heads over it, depending on how she takes things like that. Maybe they've written their essays together and helped each other out when in tight spots regarding studies?
I quite like the idea of Harry having approached Axel in fourth year but that didn't work out well. And now that the war is over, I guess we can try and have them interact and see how it goes. I cannot say that they will be the best of friends but friendly acquaintances of sorts is what I imagine.
Yessss !! I would like it if they were friends. A friendship which bloomed over the years I would say and yeah he would have known that she fled the castle during war time. I would like their interaction very much.
